Happy Holidays From VeAhavta
And the Grace Care Center in Sri Lanka!

Dear Friends,

Happy Holidays to all! We hope you enjoy this, the latest of our quarterly eNewsletters. It includes the usual articles, updates and photos and a special piece entitled, "Chanukah, Eid-ul-Adhar and Christmas: Celebrations Calling for Rededication," that addresses various aspects of the three most prominent religious holidays being celebrated during the month of December.

Once again, we appeal to our supporters for financial help with our five programs in Sri Lanka, particularly with Grace Girls Home and Mercy Home for elders. Please consider making a substantial, tax-deductible donation to VeAhavta before the end of the year and giving "Grace Holiday Gifts" to your loved ones as a way of supporting the Grace Care Center. Grace Holiday Gifts can be purchased for a donation of $30 or $40 and go to support the children of Grace Home and the elders of Mercy Home in Sri Lanka. You can read more about Grace Holiday Gifts in the Gift Cards article in this newsletter or here on our website.

On behalf of VeAhavta and the more than 430 people who benefitted this year from our programs at the Grace Care Center, I wish you and your family a meaningful holiday season. Thank you so much for your kind support in 2007!

Warmest Regards,

Eric

"As we enter this holiday season, let us…resist the allure and the seductive charm of the marketplace and its capacity to reduce all reality and all loving to the consumption of 'things,' and instead return to the deep spiritual messages of our own traditions, while lovingly supporting each other to stay true to our own deepest truths." (Rabbi Michael Lerner, Dec. 4, 2007)
