History: Kirushanthini, a Tamil child who will be 11 years old in just over a week, lost her mother in an accident that occurred in 2003. Soon after her mother's death, her father abandoned the family and has not been heard from since. Prior to her admission to the Grace Girl’s Home, Kirushanthini was living with her sister in Trincomalee. But her sister got married and was no longer able to care for her. Like so many children in Sri Lanka, Kirushanthini likes to sing and she has a beautiful voice! She also likes drawing, painting and flying kites. Kirushanthini is a very sweet, quiet child who has made many friends at Grace since she came to us in 2005. Her favorite subject in school is math, and she aspires to become a lawyer some day.
