Family History: Mr. Abayasooriya is a Singhalese gentleman who never married and does not know where any of his relations are presently living.
Work History: Worked various places/trades all over Sri Lanka until he suffered a back injury in 1997. He is unable to walk without the assistance of staff or the use of a special walker.

Unfortunately, after his injury Mr. Abayasooriya was forced to beg for a living, but was very uncomfortable doing so. In January of this year, a Trincomalee businessman referred him to Mercy Home and we were very pleased to receive him.

Hobbies/Things He Likes To Do: Mr. Abayasooriya is a kind and gentle man who enjoys listening to the radio, reading books related to Buddhism and news papers, and likes to talk with the other residents and staff of Mercy Home. He also greatly enjoys visits by the children of the Grace Girls Home and Grace Daycare.
